Love Doesn’t Hurt
Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love. But in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again.
I’ve never read anything more true.

I have a question Mr. Jonathan: By love, do you mean man-woman affair, or you mean more general thing? Toy (kid), lesson(student), science(scientist)…

too deep, guys, too deep. I’m hurting and there are some things I’ve got to do. I need to stay focused and get them done. If the pain is still around, then I’ll deal with that then. For now that’s all I got. So what does somebody like me do? (Or don’t do?) and nothing fancy either please.

This is so true. Don’t we all know this already though, at some level – even if we don’t admit it? Why are there so many pop songs about “love” hurting? Where does this trend come from? That’s what I really want to know, why do so many people says that LOVE hurts, which is the furthest thing from the truth?
The only word I’d change is Envy and replace it with Betrayal.
i love this but actually love can hurt. I loved a guy who i couldnt be with..and so i wished terribly i could fall out of love with him and everything would go away..but i couldnt.
Sure love could cover up pain. But you know what gets rid of pain completely? Oxycodone! BTW the person who wrote this was obviously never married.

But loniness, rejection and loss are all by-products of love, therefore in a sense love does cause hurt and pain. No love, no sense of loss or rejection because of the absense of the potential in the first place… not that i’m nit-picking or anything
