Café World – Medals

Café World > Medals

Update January 17 2010, I have updated the medal chart and it is almost complete. If you see any mistakes, or if you know the missing information, please write it in the comment area. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Cafe World MedalsEarn medals! You can now access your medals by clicking the medal icon on the bottom right of the game. There are so far 10 categories where medals are offered. Players can earn medals by the number of neighbours they have and by accepting gifts from them, by owning avatar and decoration items, by the amount of coins they earn, by helping friends, by spoiling dishes, by serving dishes and the amount of continuous days dishes were served.

There are four medals that you can receive for each category: bronze, silver, gold and royal. Earning medals not only offers you prestige, but it also enables you to collect café points, and being able to advance more rapidly in the game against your neighbours!

  1. Boo says:

Hey, a bit of info, the cafe world celebrity silver medal is 7 neighbors, and gives 200 CP, and the gold is 11 neighbors. Also for the feed and army Royal medal, it gives 1000 CP. Thanks for all your info it really has helped.

  2. Graeme McRae says:

So it’s a really good thing that I have 537 facebook friends who play Cafe World. Then I can use the following link (which anyone can use) to consolodate the awards published by all my Cafe World-playing friends…

    http://www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=app_101539264719

I gathered over 40,000 coins by harvesting the awards published by all my friends! (It doesn’t seem matter whether they are neighbors, as long as they are my facebook friends)

  3. Sofi says:

Can anyone explain the Greatly Gifted medal to me? So I just need to keep the gifts my friends send in the gift box? Cause I’v gotten lots of gifts, but you know, I serve them or use them.

    Thanks!!

    • Katy says:

No, Sofi, all you have to do is get them into your gift box. You don’t have to save them. Go ahead and serve them; they’ve already been counted for your medal.

      • Danee Aikens says:

I havent received a medal for them at all and i had about 70 gifts and used them a week before they added the app. How do I get my medal for the ones I had?

        • Anto says:

@ Danee, medals were just given instantly to me. Maybe they are still not well programmed and that’s why you didn’t receive yours.

          • Sofi says:

Yeah! I think they’re still working on it because I also have several gifts and they only count 2 of them.

  4. DorothyJean says:

Continuous Cooker is STILL a mystery to me. I’ve contacted Zynga, still don’t understand how it works. Does that mean you log into your Cafe for seven consecutive days? I have Gingerbread Houses cooking for 5 days, is that 5 days of continuous cook? still don’t understand this Medal.

    anyone with an answer?

The following is a forwarded Zynga response 12/22/09:

    CONSECUTIVE DAYS COOKING

    - Continuous Cooker (Bronze Medals) : 7 days cooking. You will get x CP.
    - NOT YET (Silver Medals) : x days cooking. You will get x CP.
    - NOT YET (Gold Medals) : x days cooking. You will get x CP.
    - NOT YET (Royal Medals) : x days cooking. You will get x CP.

For the medals that you’ve got, you can share it with your friends to your facebook wall. And then your friends will get some bonus of coins which is it’s a different amount for each kinds of materials of medals.

When you hit the button “Get a bonus” from your friend Cafe World’s post, you will get an information how much coins that you’ve got. For an example, you can see on the picture above. Here’s the bonus for all kinds of medals :

    * Bronze Medals : 100 coins.
    * Silver Medals : 200 coins.
    * Gold Medals : 300 coins.
    * Royal Medals : 500 coins.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    • DorothyJean says:

okay. I’ve got the skinny on the continuous cooker medals They SERVED #x consecutive days so far of 7 days

key word is SERVE. not COOK. although the medal is the ‘continuous cooker medal’
      this medal category is confusing…

      my next questions:
      is it ACCUMULATIVE consecutive days
      or
CUMULATIVE consecutive days without any pauses in serves?

      • Anto says:

@ Dorothy, I just changed the word “Cook” to “Serve” as you suggested :) Thank you!

        • DorothyJean says:

Thanks! I’ve been “COOKing” Gingerbread Houses for less than five days straight, so I’d assume that I’d have at least 4 days on my ‘Continuous Cooker Medal’ thingamagiggy… However, I have 1 day down, 6 days to go noted in my Medal status.

um, pretty sure that Zynga has their terms mixed with they mean COOK they mean SERVE so that, “Continuous COOKer Medal” is aka “Continuous SERVEr Medal”.

still curious about what determines the amount of days for the Medal.

          :)

    • kushagra says:

continuous cooker means that u have to serve food daily for seven days
cooking gingerbread house doesnt count as a five days continous cook

  5. Graeme McRae says:

    Anto,

The names of the medal categories that you listed seem to change with each medal. For example, once you’ve earned the silver medal for the “Greatly Gifted” category, the name changes to “Prince of Presents”.

I have some more information for your table:

The silver medal for the “Comfortable Cooker” category is 2,000,000 coins.

The silver medal for the “Greatly Gifted” / “Prince of Presents” category is for 150 gifts.

The gold medal for the “Greatly Gifted” or “Prince of Presents” category is for 275 gifts.

  8. Graeme McRae says:

This just in: for earning 2 million coins, the prize is called “Booming Baker”.

  9. Tarken says:

Hey Anto. I just got the Continuous Cooker bronze. The next medal will be 3 more days, so 10 days to get the next one. Also, it looks like you got the info, but I’ll confirm that 2M coins is the next requirement for the Comfortable Cooker medal. BTW, great site.

    • Anto says:

Thank you Tarken, I am ouside the country now but will update the tables as soon as I get back :)

      • Graeme McRae says:

The medal for 3M coins is called “Prosperous Poacher”. The Royal Medla is for 5M coins. I’ll let you know what that’s called in a week or so.

    • Rochelle says:

Tarken or anyone, Ive been cooking and serving for three consecutive days, my counter reads zero. Not sure what your actually supposed to do to earn this medal? Can someone help?

      • Tarken says:

Yeah I’m not 100% sure yet, but I’ve heard there are bugs with it yet. When I managed to keep it at 7+ days, I ALWAYS had some dish out being served on the counter. And food cooking on the stove. The other day around the time a lot of people began to have issues, I had a serving time lapse and my counter seems to have gone to zero. Also, it feels like my day counter only gets updated every day and a half or so, thus I’m not exactly sure how it works yet. My advice? Always keep some dish (one of the 2-day cookers) on the stove and always have food being served to your customers. Depending on the time you can afford to play, it could be as simple as spending 3-4 hours cooking up Fruit Salads or other similar dishes. That’s the best info I can give for now, I’m still not 100% sure on how the system works (or if it’s even working the way it should be). From what I’ve seen in the last few months, it takes up to 3 weeks for something like this to get fixed…I don’t think Zynga puts as much support staff to Café World as they do Farmville.

      • Rochelle says:

Thanks Tarken. I have another question, is anyone else having problems with visiting their neighbors and getting their CP points and coins? I’ve tried for 2 days now and can’t get anything.

        • Alanna says:

Yeah – I was getting 0 CP and 0 Coins as well – mine is working now, however.

          • Courtney says:

Yeah, I was having that problem for a while too. I did my best to ignore it, but then when I visited my neighbors, there were a couple of days when it wouldn’t even ask me to try a dish. When I got a new neighbor, it worked again, but then didn’t ask again for another few days. Then I decided to contact Zynga…I don’t know if they did anything to fix it, but it’s all working again for me :)

  10. DorothyJean says:

just to mention, placed an incident report with Continuous Cooker Medal… Zynga has responded back with:

    “Hello Chef Dorothy Jean,
    Thanks for contacting Zynga.
We have just released new Medals in Café World!
We realize the Medal for “Continuous Cooker” (consecutive days so far) is not counting correctly.
We hope to resolve this issue shortly.
    Thank you for your patience.
    Best,
    Zynga Customer Support”

    that’s an update.

  11. Turtle says:

My suggestion, make lots and lots of carne asada. >.>

  12. Menhunter says:

The continuous cooker, wiil be 7days, 3 days,4days, 14 days.

  13. Turtle says:

    Continuous Cooker:
    Bronze: 7 days
    Silver: 10 days
    Gold: 14 days
    Royal: ?

  14. Matthew says:

Royal on Continuous cook is 28 days. And they added new medals. A few are extremely easy to earn like decorations and articles of clothing owned and the spoiled dishes.

  15. is anyone noticing that when you refresh your browser that all those bonuses you captured are not being reflected in your coin totals

  16. Shirley says:

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the new medal “Dining Decorator” means. I obviously own more than 10 decorations but somehow it keeps saying that I don’t own any. A little help with that please.

    • DorothyJean says:

      Hi Shirley,

I’ve made the mistake with purchasing the wrong items, earlier today. I want to make it clear:

Dining Decor is for items in the DECOR tab in customizae menu tab; that’s the tab with the flower drawing on it. every DECOR purchased, goes toward this medal, the Dining DECORator medal.

personal note: I feel that Zynga is pushing for decoration sales and pushing for people to expand their cafe; for instance, many of the pretty decorations use CW cash. However, I’m trying to work around it by purchasing the least expensive item, the Tiny Cactus for instance, costs150 coins; however, with 20 tables already on a 10×11 layout, I’m going to have to make another expansion or choose to leave the items in ’storage’; buy them and not use them….

I need the extra CPs from that Medal category, so I’m trying to make room; my last resort is expanding the cafe.

If you choose to use all of the decorations at one time, in addition to the tables, chairs, counters, and stoves, it is a challenge.

    • DorothyJean says:

      Hi Shirley,

as for the decorations, I too have decorations that didn’t count toward the medal; I think they are only counting decorations purchase from a current til now on.

  17. Jonathan says:

We have new medals and awards!

    Avatar medal
    Decos medal
    Spoilage medal
    Spending medal
Gifting medal (?) – mine says i’m a resto bff. over 200 friends helped

  18. Turtle says:

Hmmm for some reason continuous cooker doesnt seem to update after the 10th day for me

    Spender royal:1m
    Clothing: (not free)
    Bronze:21
    Silver:31
    Gold:51
    Royal:76
    or something around that…
    Decorations:
    Bronze:10 (not free)
    Silver:20
    Gold:30
    Royal:40

  19. Jonathan says:

Continuous cooker is still buggy atm…

  20. Tarken says:

Continuous cooker still seems to be a tad bit buggy, but for those of you who followed my last post, I’ve done a little bit more into the risky research of it. It seems that as long as you have something on the counter, it’ll keep adding days to your count. If for some reason there is a lapse in the serving time, it’ll give you a slight time to put dishes out then otherwise cut your time. For example, if you put on a 6 hour dish and come back when your counters are empty but the food is done…if you server them real fast it seems to be all good. I might do some more advanced testing at a later point once I earn all medals as I don’t want to lose the progress I’ve made on this one thus far after the bug last time caused me to lose it.

  21. Scott says:

Just so everyone knows, and Anto, if you would like to know,

    - All Medals follow the same rewards as the others once again.

Avatar medals are earned by buying outfit items.

Decos medals are earned by buying decorations under the “deco” tab. It doesn’t seem to count what has already been bought, though.

Spoilage medals are earned by spoiling dishes. Simple and to the point.

Spending medals are earned by, yes, spending money. Another simple one.

Supporting medals are earned by “visiting” others cafes. Eating and leaving a tip is considered “supporting”.

I do not know the exact amounts on everything as I have most of the completed, but if I have some spare time I’ll look into it. Also, for the Comfortable Cooker, I’ve hit 2,000,000 already, I’m sure it’s in increments of 1,000,000.. otherwise it’s a little out of hand.

  22. DorothyJean says:

    hi Anto!

just to mention, I guess if you want to spoil dishes on purpose; can I recommend to do it the ‘right way’? :P I recommend spoiling the Guacamole and Chips dish. it’ll spoil in about 5-6 minutes. it’s less painful than the other dishes if a player chooses to do it deliberately; that’s the dish to use.

    • Anto says:

@ Dorothy, yes you are right! The only reason I had spoiled my dishes is because… I forgot them!! he he :) I didn’t know there was a medal for that too :)

  23. Jules says:

Anto, some more information on the medals for you :)

Silver on comfortable cooker requires 2 million coins earned

Silver on cooking colleague requires you to help 50 friends

Fry High Roller; Royal is 1 million spent

Dish Destroyer; Silver is 16 spoilt dishes

Chic chef requires 31 avatar items for the silver

’serial searer’ is 14 consecutive days for the Gold.

  24. kim says:

gold medal comfortable cooker is called ,prosposterous poacher, and youll need to get 2 million more coins till the next medal (royal medal)

  25. Julia says:

To fill in one of the last 3 question marks in your table above, you need 50 decorations to get to the “Bedecking Braiser” medal.

My observation is that most of these medals only accumulate since they implemented them – so decorations purchased prior to the medal won’t count. Also, the 50 decorations don’t all need to be displayed – if you just want the medal, you can buy 50 of the cheapest plant or something and then put them back in your inventory.

  26. Scott U says:

    Decoration Medal corrections:

    Cafe ReDecorator is 20 items
    Bistro Beautifier is 35 items
    Braiser Royal is 50 items

  27. Scott U says:

    New Medals today. Selling items
25 items gives 100 CP and “Delicious Dealer”
100 more gives 200 CP and “Munchy Merchant”
Next level needs 350 MORE items sold, I didn’t have that much stuff!

    Firing Staff
3 people gives 100 CP and “Fuming Foreperson”
7 more gives 200 CP and “Displeased Director”
14 more to get next level.

    • Anto says:

Thank you Scott, I just noticed today the new medals.

    • JD says:

Can anyone explain why some of my friends do not show up as options when I go to hire staff? I’m trying to get the royal medal for firing 50 distinct friends, but only 47 of my friends show up in the list.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

  28. arun says:

nem medals r introduced in cafe world..!!!wheee!!!

  29. Eader says:

Hey.. why is it when i get a medal, i don’t get the Cafe Points… it shows +200 CP.. but mine doesn’t increases.

  30. Kathy says:

    Hey,
Just wondering why so many of my medals are locked. I am on level 50 and i can’t use medals like the sold one, decorator one etc…any ideas

    • Carol says:

I am level 42 and having the same problem with medals such as dish destroyer, dining decorator and others. I’m wondering is there something I have to do to unlock them or what?

  31. Cathal says:

    Hi Anto

Can you tell me how to earn medals under the “Delicious Dealer”? I know you have to sell items but how do you sell an item and what type of items?

I’m at level 47 but I really want to get the constant cook medal then I seriously considering closing down for business due to the current economic downturn, lol (actually just getting bored with it now).

    Thanks Anto

Keep up the great work. Really appreciate it.

    Cathal

    • Anto says:

      @ Cathal,

First of all, thank you very much for appreciating this post and for your nice comments :) About the medals, I haven’t really updated this post in a while. There are new medal categories that I have to add to this post. I will have some free time this weekend and I will do it.

If you want, you can add me to your friend’s list on Facebook. My name is Anto Youssef and I am from Montreal.

Hi there! Thanks so much for this post – it’s very helpful! One I didn’t notice listed was the medal(s) awarded for firing your servers. I’ve gotten two so far, the first when I fired 5, and the second when I fired 10. I’m not sure what the next is, but I’ll let you know once I do :) Here’s a screenshot so you can see what I am referring to.

    hi,
does anyone know how many friends you have to fire to get the royal medal?

    • Bubbles says:

You have to fire a total of 50 friends; but you can rehire and fire the same friends over and over if you do not have that many cafe neighbors.
