Café World – Neighbors
Café World > Neighbours
Neighbours are primarily Facebook friends who are also playing Café World. If you invite them to be your neighbours and they accept, you can help each other progress into the game. All of your Neighbours are shown at the bottom of the Café World screen. By clicking on a neighbour you can visit his or her restaurant.
By using the My Neighbors page, which is found in the top menu bar next to the Play! Page, you can invite friends to be your neighbours.
Helping a neighbour
You can help your neighbours by sending them daily gifts. Each gift can be used to serve clients when they are eating, and the café owner (yourself or your neighbour) receives café coins as a reward.
Getting help from a neighbour
When visiting a neighbour, you can taste a new dish and as a reward you will receive café coins and café points as well. After tasting a new dish you can leave your neighbour a tip. You can also receive tips from neighbours who have visited you. But this option is not too clear in the game, on how to retrieve the tips that have been left for you.

Three of the friends I have invited to be neighbors have begun playing World Cafe and claim they accepted my invitations. However, they are not showing up as neighbors who have joined in my game. How can this be?
Karen, the same happened to me. As your friends to send you neighbour requests and see what happens.

Sometimes it’s better to click the Neighbors tab, scroll to the bottom, and type in the name of the person you want to be neighbors with rather than click them individually from the list above that.
Hi:-) when i go to my neighbours cafe,i’m rewarded 5exp per.neighbour…..uptil a certain amount,then it drops to 1exp per visit! why? and thanks for creating such a useful page as this:-))
Kari, it was always 5 points for me when I visit my friends’ cafés. Try it again tomorrow and see if it works for you. There are bugs sometimes.

Quelquefois il y a des “bugs” dans le jeu et on n’arrive pas àfaire certaines commandes. Je vous recommande d’attendre une journée et d’essayer de nouveau.
The way you get your tips from your neighbors is by logging in to the game. When I’m on facebook, I get a lil notification in the bottom corner that says “Blank and 3 others ate ate your cafe and left you tips. See how much they left!” Then I go to the game and it says on the log in screen – “You made $– coins while you were gone. You got $– in tips. You have – gifts. ” That’s where it show it to you.

hi Anto.you know what i did for getting neighbours.I created a profile whenever i needed.so now i have 8 profiles,i log in the profiles each time i want to sent gift etc… u want the link of my 8 profiles…

quand on veut expédier des gifts, il y a ceux qui peuvent voir mon café world et d’autre en attend de reponse mais certain jon accepter justement d’etre dans mes amis il devrait ,donc etre de la meme couleur en orange comme les autres mais elle reste en bleu …. pourquoi je n’arrive pas a les avoir comme amis en bas de ma page sur café world

i got a idea just now how to get food cooked automatically.Just turn the stove the wall side so the chef cant operate the stove so then it will be done automatically…!!!
Bala, what do you mean by that? The dishes do sort of cook automatically, all you have to do is chose the dish, click the stove for the 3 steps, then walk away. I don’t understand what you mean by “automatically”. Seems pretty much automatic to me.

how do i cancel my neighbors request in cafe world?
@ Analee, there is an “Ignore button” that you can use.
How do you cancel a pending neighbor request, my friend and I tried to accept his neighbor request but it was at the time when facebook was having issues so it ignored it instead and I sent him a request and his ignored mine as well, so now we both show pending neighbor request and no way of cancelling that we can see. we tried deleting ourselves from being friends and re added and still shows the same. Please help!

how do I choose the amount of a tip to give to a neighbor. When I visit one it gives me the notification but says leave 0 tip. how do I actually give tips?
@ Jennifer, you do leave tip even if it doesn’t say that you do. The neighbour you leave the tip to will receive a notification though and he or she has to collect the tip by him- or herself. Maybe this will help: http://www.cyberanto.com/2009/10/cafe-world-tips-from-neighbours/
Would someone be able to tell me how I delete a neighbour from from my cafe?
This problem started a few days ago. When I help neighbors in Cafe World I am not getting Cafe or Experience points. I know you can only collect once every 24 hours, but it has been more than 48 hours.
i am having the very same problem as jenny. two of my friends try to be neighbours. we sent each other requests and accepted but are not showing as neighbours but as pending requests. did anybody solve this problem?
to anyone having problems with the ignored request… if you go to the little tabs at the top where you will see free gifts, play, neighbours ,…and so on, if you click on the neighbours tab… scroll down and there is a list of your friends that you have sent requests to, you will see it says neighbour pending request… just simply “remove” neighbour request and resend … hope this helps solve your neighbour problem
Same thinq happens to me, now i do not get any cafe points or coins. Because when i go to my neighbors cafe the popup that is supposed to say would youu like to leave a free tip. . . Doesn’t show up. I have tried for a week. But the bonus points still work. Any suggestions?
I invited my granddaughter to be my neighbor before she was playing Cafe World. At the time, she wasn’t interested but now she is playing the game. We can send each other gift dishes, but we can’t invite each other to be neighbors as our names are deleted from our lists. Is there a way to send her a neighbor re-invitation?

Well i’ve tried that (attempting to send an invitation the next day). It seems that once an invitation is sent, the invitee is removed from your friends’ list, whether they’ve accepted the invitation or not. Strange….

Apologies for duplicate posting. Do you think that Cafe World restricts invitation to keep from annoying people who have no interest? That removing the invitee from one’s friends’ list is deliberate?

i was wondering if anyone was having the “zynga neighbour” problem? i have added a few friends and them me, a few seem to be showing up as “zynga” and not with the usual name tag … does anyone else seem to be having this problem? and anyone have any solutions as to resolve this?
