Café World > Expanding Café
You can expand your restaurant in Café World as you advance in the game. Upgrading the size of your café enables you to have more space to put tables and chairs to seat more customers, and make more profits.
There are two ways of expanding your café. The first is to have a certain number of neighbours and by using café coins to make the expansion. The other way is by using café cash, which need to be purchased from Zynga using your own real money (credit card or paypal).
There are only a few café expansions available now with the game. More updates will be done in the future. Here is a table describing the different types of expansions:

OK thanks, I see that bountiful is the next one in line, but it is NOT available yet. I have 11 neighbors…Its not easy getting more without expanding past your friends list…:( Thank you fo ryour response
I am at Level 44 and have 42 neighbors. I am hoping that will help me get a bigger cafe. When are they planning on enlarging the size so we can buy more space? Thanks
Hope Tramont, I am sure the update will come soon. I however doupt that having a bigger Café will bring in more clients.
You will need to get 12 neighbors before you can unlock Extravagant cafe and it cost 1 millon coins to get it.
Do we know when the ‘coming soon’ expansions will be avaliable?
Can you bypass Quaint Cafe and Corner and expend to Family? Or do you have to expend progressively? Thx in advance.
Leo, I believe that expansions need to be done progressively.
Hello, what I was really searching if I need to buy the small cafes to get the biggest one. Like can I go from 1 to 10 or I need to go to 1 to 2 to 3. Understand? Please write back soon. Thank you.
Luis, I am almost 100% sure that you have to go through the expansions one by one.
You do have to use the expansions in order. I saved up 400,000 coins for the Bountiful I believe it was… only to find out I had to get the one that cost 125,000 first.
The smaller cafes have to be bought first, however when you buy the smaller cafe the larger one will become available and you can turn around and buy it. Basically jumping up in size twice.

I was at my friends house today, and we discovered that you need 12 neighbours for the Extravagant Cafe.
13 if you count yourself in.
No info on the Bountiful though, but I can try to find out.

how can you put tables outside the cafe onto the grass?
You cannot do that Linda.
You can purchase flooring that looks like grass. Then you can put tables on that for an outside “look”.

uhm but your coins don’t go over 999,999 do they? if the other expansions exist it will have to go over.
Of course they do! I’ve got over 3′600.000 and I’m sure others have even more.
Hi, I’m at level 50 but still can’t expand to the Extravagant Cafe because I don’t have enough neighbours. Does anyone know if the expansion will be available to buy for coins if you reach a certain level? TIA
Extravagant Cafe costs 1,000,000 coins. Not sure how many neighbors it takes. I have 16 and have it.
Thanks, Dennis, I have 2,000,000+ coins and I’m frustrated at not being able to spend them! I’ll just keep going, I suppose.
