Update (25nd of March 2010): I have just made the proper updates with the five latest dishes: Ice Cream Sunday, Mystical Pizza, Corned Beef, Chicken Adobo, and Loco Moco! If there is anything new that I forgot, please mention it in the comment section below.
If a stove is empty you can begin a new dish by clicking on it. This opens up the Dish Menu where you can choose which dish you wish to cook. The cost of a dish is different depending on how long they take to fully cook and how many Cafe Coins you make from serving them. Dishes award experience every time you complete an ingredient step – be sure to complete all three to set your dish cooking!
Plan ahead by cooking dishes that will become ready to serve the next time you check back in on your Café. Moving your mouse/cursor over a fully prepped dish will display its current cook progress. This is shown as a green progress bar, with a percentage to completion on the left side of the bar.

Deleting Dishes
If you run out of counter space to serve a new dish you have the option of deleting an in-progress dish from the stove or deleting a dish from a counter. You can delete dishes by clicking on an in progress dish on your stove or counter and selecting Yes from the Delete Dish confirmation pop-up. Careful! Once a dish is deleted it cannot be returned.
Spoiled Dishes
Care should be taken not to leave fully cooked dishes on the stove for too long! Dishes will start to spoil if they sit around. Spoiled dishes are useless and must be thrown out before you can begin a new dish.

Hi! i have sort of a stupid question. i am currently at level 60 and have expanded my cafe i believe twice (if not once) – have 16×14 tiles. my tables and chairs are as many that can accomodate for the best setup and customer satisfaction. anyway i was wondering if there was any real point in expanding your cafe past this?

I don’t think you need anything larger than 12×13. That’s what I have with a solid 105 buzz rating. I’m at level 84. I have 19 stoves and all the serving counters I need with 24 tables.
Understand, I’m not into a bunch of decorations. I’ve focused strictly on leveling up as fast as possible. When I saw it was going to cost $400,000 for the next larger cafe I decided to use those coins to burn and churn dishes for CP’s instead.
Bottom line, there’s no reason to make it larger unless you just want to have more decorations in your cafe.
thanks dave, thats what i was thinking also but wanted to be sure, i MIGHT upgrade one more time just to put some more floor and wall decorations on but in the long run its not worth it as well as buying the best tables and chairs, etc etc and those who think they buy the higher stoves, counters, they dont do anything at all but look pretty

“Mystery Spice”-mystery effect.
Everyone is given a quantity of 3 each or 6 each depending on the spice.
You have to ask your friends if you want the mystery spice however.
Not sure if using 1 spice on a dish makes it apply to all the others you are cooking on your stoves at the same time but I doubt it.
I used mystery spice on one dish just to see what it does…..it didn’t do anything. Anyone else have this happen?
I’m wondering why they ever removed the ham, gingerbread house, and the other old ones from past themes/holidays, but now they aren’t removing the themed/holiday dishes once it’s has moved on or passed?? It’s becoming too cluttered and seems like there are too many dishes offered. The least they can do is show 10 dishes per page so we don’t have to scroll through so many. Right?

I’ve just realised something with the new spice rack and it doesn’t seem to add up? (unless my maths skills are awful). If you add and extra 10% to the sea food piella dish then you receive and extra 80 servings. Right so here’s the thing…If you purchase 100 get an extra 10% servings spice that cost 60000 coins. Now you receive 7 coins for each piella dish so an extra 10% would be an extra 560 coins? Now times that by the 100 spices that you’ve just purchased and you’ll get an extra 56000 coins? But it costs 60000 coins to buy 100 of them spices, making it a 4000 coins loss. Can anyone else tell me if I’m doing my maths right or wrong?

Just to let you know, if my maths is correct you’ll make a loss on quite a few dishes
Yeah gaz Ur math is right for this particular dish but for some dishes you can essentially double ur profits
I am glad you posted this because I was doing the math and I could not think of a way to use that and make a profit.
I started going through dishes and unless you get the spice for free, I don’t see it adding up.
With that being said, I have used up all of my spices (except the spoil) and I keep getting free mystery spices that speeds up my cooking by 2min… when your making a 14 hour dish it is more of an irritation than anything else.

I’ve just clicked one of my cooking dishes and it gave me the option to spice it! So I went to my completed spice rack and there was a button to ask for help; to have someone activate the spice crate. Anyone have spice rack experiences yet?
My spice rack has been activated. I have received the following uses free:
ONE Mystery Spice
SIX Super Salt (adds 5% more servings)
SIX Power Pepper (adds 10% more servings)
THREE Onehour Thyme (speeds cook time one hour)
THREE Sixhour Thyme (speeds cook time six hours)
THREE Instant Thyme (makes a dish instantly ready)
THREE Salvage Sage (removes spoil from a dish)
The earlier post about using coins or cash to buy more seems correct although I haven’t checked exactly. This seems fun – we’ll see.
I thought I joined the Email Club, and I was able to cook some Dino Eggs, but now the Dino Eggs are grayed out, and when I click on the “Join the Email Club” link, nothing happens. I emailed Zynga to ask about this, and in the mean time, I wonder if anyone else here can offer any suggestions. Thanks!

Mystery spice is a mystery!! I’ve noticed it does 1 of the following….
1) Speeds cooking time by 5 minutes
2) Speeds cooking time by 2 minutes
3) Adds 5% more servings
4) Adds 10% more servings
5) Adds 5 more experience points
6) Adds 20 more experience points
I’ve only seen the above so far….
Yes it only works on 1 dish and not every dish on your stove. You can add multiple spices to your dishes as well.

You can make a profit using the 10% more spices if you cook the dino eggs! I’ve also found out something interesting!! You can add more than 1 spice to each dish. So I’m just about to add 88 spices of 10% extra servings to 1 dino dish on my stove! Therefore if this works you won’t lose as much experience points by using all your stoves for dino dishes! If you have an instant cook spice then your in luck! You could follow these steps and then finally add the instant cook spice! I’ll get back to you if I can add my 88 spices
I’ve just added the 86 spices (10% more servings) to 1 dino egg dish on my stove and they all went in. I’ll let u all know if it works! By my calculations with the 600 dino eggs already in the dish and the extra servings I should get 5760 servings on dino eggs, multiply that by 18 (cost of 1 dish) and I should receive 103680 coins! If this works I’ll then try to add 200 10% more spices
I rushed into this and I think I could have made more of a profit on the candy boxes? :/
However the cash from the dino eggs will come in twice as fast so it’s up to you how you do it
using the automated links, u get 100+K in less than an hour.

“You are not limited to whichever gifts the page allows you to send. You can actually send whatever type of gift you want using the following steps:
1. Go to “Free Gifts” tab
2. Select any gift to send (doesn’t matter which one) and click the “Proceed to Send” button
3. When the next screen comes up, the end of the URL in the address bar will say “gid=1234? (or some other number)
Change the number to one of the following:
1174 for a Spice Shelf
1175 for a Large Jar
1176 for a Medium Jar
1177 for a Small Jar
1178 for a Jar Lid
Then press ENTER to load the “new” page
You should now have a page with the gift you want to send. Select the people you want to send it to and ship it out.
There are similar numbers for all the other items you can send as gifts. I don’t have a list handy, but Google is your friend – the lists are posted out there.”

will try it out soon. not today, because I met the quota gift exchanging for today. LOL!

Its not a bug. Now you get more CP per visit depending on your level. I am on level 56 and i get 61 CP per visit. Basically i go up in level every other day. Sweet!!!!

Anyone have an idea when we are getting the VIP DINNER?
i thought i had a website link but lost it. it showed the number of neighbors you have and how many cafe points you would get if you visited your neighbors. does anyone have a chart on the link on this? it looked somethink like this: (cafe points are made up)

Not sure if the number of CP you get for visiting relates to the number of neighbors you have. When I jumped form level 65 to 66, I went from 40 CP/visit to 41 CP/visit.
I think it depends on the number of neighbors.
I currently have 71 neighbors and I receive 71 CP everytime I visit my neighbors
Mystical Pizza is now the best dish for quick leveling by making/deleting dishes. More Cafe Points than Delicious Chocolate Cake (81 vs 72) and a better Cafe Coins/Cafe Points cost ratio (16.05 vs 18.06).
I don’t make/delete dishes anymore, I’m semi-retired at Level 92 (just make Seafood Paella and Lavish Lamb Curry).
The net profit I believe is 3200 Cafe Coins not 3450 as Deborah mentioned (but thanks Deborah for the info).
depends on ur level….higher you go, more you get from visiting neighbours…lvl 83 gets you 95cp, and lvl 101 gets you 116cp…
mystical pizza costs 2300, and therefore has a cost ratio of 28.40…

Point of humor. You know how the rack of ribs is 4 coins each even though it says 10 coins in your gift box? Sell them off, you get 5 coins each.
It seems the CPs for visiting neighbors is maybe random. I was getting 93 per yesterday and today I am getting 51. I have 73 neighbors and level 82.

That’s a bit odd. Your level (lvl 88 vs lvl 74) is higher and you have more neighbors (105 vs 99) compared to mine yet I get 83 CP? I wonder how they compute the CP’s per visit.

Mystical Pizza’s Churn and Burn ratio is 28.395 not 16.05. I think you based it on 1300
But then again, it yields MORE CP’s compared to paella/cake (332 vs 273) even though it cooks faster (11 vs 14). 59 more and 3 hours faster!

go to your ‘application settings’ tab and find Cafe World, click on the ‘x’ at the far right and that will remove the application

Yeah I have no idea what happened. I was getting 61 CP per visit and now 35. I think they realize people were leveling up to fast decided to lower it. I have a neighbor who when up 5 level on 3 days just by visiting. She has 234 neighbors.

I love this site but I wanted to ask if you can update the levels page I have noticed that zynga has given out more counters and stoves for higher levels. There are some people with 18 stoves and I think 11 counters. your upgrading stops at level 50. Oh and you should clean your stoves in your cafe LOL.

Yes there has been a lot of updates done and I should work on my levels’ page. You know what, I will make a stop at my Café right now and make a major clean up to start cooking new dishes

Very good Johnathon Relon. But what about the time it takes to prepare the dish? Chicken Gyro takes 10 minutes to cook, however there’s now way you could make 6 dishes of it on 1 stove in 1 hour, so I’d presume that would totally change the CP table you drew up? Because obviously some dishes would not have to made as often?

That’s the theoretical/optimal CP for all the menu items – that is, there are no allowances for preparation, cooking, buying, cleaning, etc. I’m a bit lazy to estimate those and incorporate them in the formula. tehehe

no need to wait for it to come back…i have been getting them for ages…call it a cheat or watever…..from 62 sets > 22 sets > 10-15 sets a day…..google for “automated vip dinner”

It’s been a while since I posted to the dishes page about anything but I still read faithfully!
I have a few questions:
Leveling up: It seems that some of my neighbours are able to level up 2 or 3 times a day, meaning they are getting 60-90K CP in a day. That cannot be from cooking and surely they must have to work for a living too so they cannot just be clicking all day to “churn and burn.” For me it takes 2-3 days to level up one level! Can anyone share how this works with me as it is frustrating to keep falling further and further behind?
Wedding cakes: I keep inviting my friends to send me cups of batter etc, but for some reason when I click on the little wedding cake table it updates but then keeps resetting back to 10 ingredients needed 0% completed and it is frustrating! I have just 94 neighbours but I am continually helping other people with their cakes so I don’t understand what’s up with it.
Can anyone explain it to me? Thank you so much!

the only way to level up that fast is to use instant spice
nah….using cafeworld bot or cook then delete method ( choc cakes is best with 72cp )
If they are at a high level with lots of neighbors, they could collect quite a bit but it would require some serious time investment

Anyone else completely stuck with nothing but Connection Lost messages? I haven’t been able to do anything for two days. I have 19 stoves of spoiled lobster and no food to serve.
I wrote support and they said they are aware of the problem and are working to get it fixed ASAP.
Is there anything else to be done that anyone here may know of?
Yes, I’m having the same problem. I worked with Zynga tech support, who got a transcript of the connection, from which it was clear the connection was timing out while getting neighbor information. I have about 700 neighbors, and about 2500 facebook friends, and this is too many to work in this program. They made some change, and it worked for a week or two, but now (for the last few weeks) it doesn’t work. The sad fact is that Zynga just isn’t interested in solving this problem.

I think there are no CPs for that VIP dinner that Cafe World just opened up, but there’s also Chashu Ramen and Tom Yum Goong. Anyone know the CP breakdown on these?

hey for all you people having problems with timing out, i found a solution. do all the things you would normally do, let it say reconnecting or whatever. then before you exit cafe world “save”. i never had to save before but now if i don’t all the things i did since i log on till i log off don’t autosave like they used to. hope this helps
The “Martian Brain Cake” is back! It’s the exact same info as the “Giant Dino Egg”.
The wedding cake is very stupid.. I finished it, next time I open the game it’s 80% complete again.. I’ve been having this problem ever since I start making the wedding cake. Also, when I was done, the 500 cp wasn’t added!
