Update (25nd of March 2010): I have just made the proper updates with the five latest dishes: Ice Cream Sunday, Mystical Pizza, Corned Beef, Chicken Adobo, and Loco Moco! If there is anything new that I forgot, please mention it in the comment section below.
If a stove is empty you can begin a new dish by clicking on it. This opens up the Dish Menu where you can choose which dish you wish to cook. The cost of a dish is different depending on how long they take to fully cook and how many Cafe Coins you make from serving them. Dishes award experience every time you complete an ingredient step – be sure to complete all three to set your dish cooking!
Plan ahead by cooking dishes that will become ready to serve the next time you check back in on your Café. Moving your mouse/cursor over a fully prepped dish will display its current cook progress. This is shown as a green progress bar, with a percentage to completion on the left side of the bar.

Deleting Dishes
If you run out of counter space to serve a new dish you have the option of deleting an in-progress dish from the stove or deleting a dish from a counter. You can delete dishes by clicking on an in progress dish on your stove or counter and selecting Yes from the Delete Dish confirmation pop-up. Careful! Once a dish is deleted it cannot be returned.
Spoiled Dishes
Care should be taken not to leave fully cooked dishes on the stove for too long! Dishes will start to spoil if they sit around. Spoiled dishes are useless and must be thrown out before you can begin a new dish.

I’m level 96 and didn’t get new cookbook at 75. I did get 2 new stoves and 1 counter but don’t remember the levels but what you say sounds about right. I’m thinking maybe the cookbooks aren’t ready yet.

Anyone having trouble with their wedding cake. I completed mine this morning, got the 5 cafe cash and now ive been back to my cafe and says 8 ingredients needed. I dont have much time let to complete it. is it just my problem or are others getting this too?
My wedding cake has flip flopped all along, one step forward, 2 steps backward. It was finished twice and now it says I need 4 more ingredients for the icing. How can I delete the ugly thing?
i gave up on the cake for that reason ! i thought i was the only one.. it really agitated my nerves !

Josh, once you reach level 53 switch over to the mystic pizza. You get 332 points per serving.
I want to no what is a quick way to level up I cook and it takes me about 3 days to level up, but my neighbors cook and they level up in about 2 days or even 1. What am I doing wrong.

The Giant Dino Egg has been replaced by Martian Brain Bake – exact same specs.
Does anyone know when the new advanced cookbooks will be available. I hit level 75, thinking that I would unlock new dishes, only to find they are still on hold.
i prepared the dish “martian brain bake” 4 days ago. according to the cookbook, it takes 3 days for the dish to be done. when i played checked my cafe world yesterday, the martian brain bake was gone. it said there that i should earn +1o,ooo cafe coins x 11 stoves is equals to 11o,ooo cafe coins.. my money was wasted and so is the time. where did it go? what happened? can i get my money back?

Can someone please explain how this new method of visiting neighbors and spicing their dishes works? Several neighbors, I could not use spice at all. When I did use spice, it siad I was getting 13 CP’s and 54 coins. I did not get any CP’s at all, only coins. Before I was getting 54 CP’s and 248 coins per visit. What’s the deal here?
yeah Rochelle i just noticed the same thing, i got the cafe cash but no (42) points each for spicing/visiting neighbor? i was visiting in order to get to next level because i needed a small number of CP to get to the next level before the 2 hours of when my big food is ready. i dont know whats up, is it a glitch?
Hey Janeen, Thanks for replying to my post. Sorry to hear that you’re have the same problem but it does give he hope that it IS a glitch. My husband said that he also did not see his CP amount changing, so he refreshed and it changed. I’ll try that when it’s time to go again.(fingers crossed). If it’s not a glitch, then call 911 because I’ve been robbed
When the spicing of friend’s dishes started, I was only getting 12 CP per dish. Now it is back to 48 CP. And if all their stoves have been spiced I get the original ‘taste today’s special’ message, and the 48 CP.
I guess enough people complained about the points being awarded that Zynga took notice.
I can see that there are new dishes to cook, does anyone know the CP’s for these?
Great site I just book marked it! and Deborah you know can do both spice the stove and taste test for double the points.
On the top right there is a blue person with a fork and spoon in hand if you click on that you get to taste test.

The only way I had found so far was to visit each cafe twice, once to spice and then again to taste, but that took a lot of time. This way is far superior.

i believe the ‘mastery boost’ goes into the mastery bar in the cookbook on the recipe you got the boost for. i dont think you ’see it’ on the main page. also i just achieved mastery level 3 on cheeseburger. i get one minute less to cook – 4 minutes instead of 5. i dont know if all level 3’s will be one less minute or not.
Frustrated. I got to level 75 and I got nothing. Wheres my stoves? Or extra dishes or something?

Here’s a possible solution: Have you tried dragging the other stove/stoves into the Functional Tab? There in the Stove Functional Tab, you’ll find the finished Super Stove that’ll be its replacement.

Hurry and Build-A-Stove Quick:
I’ve found you may build multiple stoves! er… it also depends on your level too. my friend is at level 13 and can’t build anymore Super Stoves without paying a 100,000 coin fee… However, at a higher level, i’ve built +3 Super Stoves on top of the ones that I’m allowed to use. My plan is to keep sending Stove Part Requests until Zynga says “that’s too many!” (only doing the extra build-a-stove for backup. who knows? if I’m allowed more stoves when i level up down the road.)
“Building a Super Stove takes less parts.” I’ve teamed up with a Neighbor to send as many requests as possible. Just be careful that they don’t Approve/Accept too many at a time because the parts will go to waste.
- Here has been my strategy -
Firstly, as of today; four parts are needed: grill, plates, chip, and knob; multiply by 8 each part and total need request Approvals are 32; 32 total parts!
send 4 requests of each part at a time. the Neighbor who approves these parts must first approve them via Cafe World Envelope at when they first enter the game…. it’s at the right top hand corner of the Cafe World Window. then, after approving each part; have your Neighbor approve them again in the Request Center of Facebook… Facebook Request > See All > find CW requests. it’ll look different this time because they will have to choose between two parts – the part on the right hand of the screen will have the higher 75 CP advantage. the other will offer 25 CPs.
Keep communication open because if you have too much of one part, it’ll be a waste of an invitation and the part doesn’t roll over to the next stove.
my suggestion, check how many of each item you need and attach a personal note so your neighbor knows which item to choose.
Invitations are limited each day, however, check back every now and then when you’ve met your send request quota, because it does let you send a little more at at time. Yesterday I think I built 2.5 stoves…
Oh yeah, make sure you click on the Build a Stove Icon to confirm that your stove is complete before approving more parts! just another thought: do the stove trade off only when necessary because I’ve lost dishes on my counters and stoves in the past due to the movement of the appliances. just another CW glitch that needs to be fixed.

i have 537 cafe world neighbors and i have had several people say you can only have 200
and that 300 slows computer and over 400 zynga blocks

“through the back doors” and you have to know “computers” to get the discontinued foods
you have gingerbread house and valentines cake discontinued. i have them both cooking in my two cafe right now. they may be discontinued BUT THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE if you know where and how to get them. i have been cooking the gingerbread houses since christmas even after ” they went away” same as valentine cake and vampire steak.

Recipe Mastery has been out for a couple of weeks; Ever since its introduction, my counters have never been as busy. My focus is cooking dishes up all at once and having its mastery finished before i move on to the next dish to be mastered. or cook them side by side depending on how many available counters and my schedule. I’m cooking dishes that I haven’t ever considered before just because my goal is to have the Entire Recipe Book Mastered, then i plan recalculate the dishes to find which has the most CP per hour or best bang for leveling up faster. of course it’ll be simple to calculate because i think… each navy blue dish is an extra +1CP; and each gold dish is -1 minute of cook. however, don’t quote me just yet.
Before Recipe Mastery, I only cooked the dishes that had the most reasonable CP/hr amount for my level. for example: burgers, salad, chips and guacamole, for short dishes; lobster, chinese candy, lasagna, lamb curry, and that shrimp dish whose name i forget, for longer cooks.
I do collect dishes from my Neighbor’s posts and from Salvages, however i refuse to serve them until i’m on a break or a spot has become available. I serve the Mastery dishes/the dishes that I’m attempting its Mastery first. it’s just a strategy…
So far, I have over 100hrs of food to serve! (1000 serves = 1hr @ 105.0 buzz)
maybe, for the next four days… i’ll be cooking up Chinese Candy just to allow counters to empty; just a thought
(((my background/what I use: Level 98, (i don’t recall at the moment) maybe 19? Super Stoves.. and er… 10 Counters?… and a decent computer.)))
off the subject, I want to caution that I’ve noticed lost dishes to be served and a stove with a lost cooking dish. they just disappeared when I reorganized or added the new decorations to my cafe.
back on the subject: Here’s what happened to me during the first hours of Recipe Mastery introduction;)… tackled the short dishes first then move forward to longer cook dishes, then because of the food overload, I moved on to the longer cooking dishes to free up the counters. I never/at least never – delete stuff on the stoves because every dish counts, i guess… it does happen sometimes

Has anyone unlocked the “Specialty” Cookbooks yet?
I was looking at the “Specialty” Cookbooks tab and I found a HINT: “Soon you can unlock specialty cookbooks from around the world by mastering THEMED dishes. Pick dishes wisely because what you cook matters.”
Firstly, I’d like to point out in the “Fundamentals” Cookbooks, there are icons on the top left hand corner of each dish, of Flags, Aliens, Fast food, salads, etc.
I haven’t mastered all of the same themed icons yet. However my guess: when all of a particular flag/icon is mastered, then the “Specialty” Cookbooks will unlock.
My plan is to master the dishes with the flags first because on the Specialty Cookbooks the Flags are noted on the map.
Please correct me if my guess is wrong. planning to reorganize my personal spreadsheet so that I can find the Flag/Icon that is the less painful of Cooking time.
I’ve been going through the mastery all wrong! I’ve been cooking the dishes that were fast cooks rather than the same Flag themed dishes! I’m sure that it’ll take longer with the approach i’m taking.

yeah if you look at the ’speciality’ cookbook (even though you cant get in right now) it says dishes will have themed dishes by country etc and there will be mastery for those as well. I am currently at level 75 and the other two cookbooks are still locked!
Level 98 and haven’t mastered just only one theme yet.
There are 15 Cuisine themes: Alien, American, Barbecue, Breakfast, Chinese, Dessert, Fantasy, Fast Food, French, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Seafood, Vegetarian. Of the total 15 themes; 7 (American, Chinese, French, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Mexican) are Flag themed, the other 8 (Alien, American, Barbecue, Breakfast, Fantasy, Fast Food, Seafood, Vegetarian) my guess, the miscellaneous themed dishes may unlock the “Advanced” book.
Throwing this out there: Even though Zynga may have not Unlocked the purpose of the other Recipe Books yet…
Has anyone mastered one theme? if so, does the either of the other recipe books unlock? Anyone close to unlocking one theme?
Planning to take on the Italian Dishes first.
There are only Two Italian Cuisine dishes
Pizza and Spaghetti; one’s a 5hr cook, the other is 8hr cook. Just don’t know how many cycles I’ll have to do.

look at the mastery level bar for each cycle and it will tell you how many times you have to cook for mastery level 1, then 2, then 3

I’ve clicked on the mastery level bar, just tells how many cooks until each level is mastered. doesn’t tell me total times dish is needed to cook for the 3rd mastery.
it’s different for each dish; Alien Sorbet I have to cook it 74 times just to complete level 1! while other dishes, its just a little more than 15 may unlock level 1 mastery.
once you master each level it will tell how you many time you need to cook for the level you are currently in ( 1 , 2 or 3 mastery level)

I haven’t posted anything here in a really long time but I wanted to comment about this mastery stuff.
I am SO glad CW added something interesting to do! I started by mastering the alien group since it’s only one dish and nothing became unlocked. I then worked on the French ones (2 dishes) and it still didn’t unlock anything. The strategy I began using is to ASK for the long cooking dishes and cooking the short term ones as I work on mastering each different type of dish. I’m nearly done the chinese ones at the moment by doing this.
I don’t have the time or patience to visit all my neighbours which unfortunately prevents me from levelling up very often but this is at least something new to try.
Any other strategies?

Did you master to level 3 – All of the Same French Themed Dishes?
You are very right, there are two total dishes in the French Themed stuff.

My plans are to master the Italian dishes, (2 dishes total) they are located more at the beginning of the Fundamental Cookbook and maybe less cooks than the dishes located at the end of the Fundamentals Cookbook (for example, Chinese Candybox, Lobster, etc.)
FYI: so far…
# of Theme Dishes in each category:
1 Alien; 6 American; 5 Barbecue; 5 Breakfast; 5 Chinese; 8 Dessert; 3 Fantasy; 7 Fast Food; 2 French; 3 Indian; 2 Italian; 2 Japanese; 4 Mexican; 7 Seafood; 4 Vegetarian Cuisines – total 64 dishes
Haven’t figured the time and how many cooks until the dish’s level 3 mastery is complete. The amount of time to finish each Theme depends on these two factors.

it may be that nothing is ‘unlockinging’ because they havent got the two cookbooks ready except the ‘fundamental’ one when youve mastered all of the nation/country them foods. dorothy once you get to level 1 the bar will then tell you how many more you need to cook for level 2, once you get to level 2 mastery the bar will then tell you how many you need for mastery level 3. im going to try to master them all as well hahaha. im at level 75 and second cookbook hasnt unlocked yet. i guess zynga is still working on stuff as the coffee pot/coffee isnt available yet but ive got it in my cafe and just waiting for the email when it will be available…

at level 99, the Cookbook still hasn’t unlocked. My guess: 1.zynga hasn’t launched the books yet, or 2.there’s some strategy to unlock the Cookbook mystery. lol!
I finished mastering most of the short cook dishes. It’s on to the long cook dishes, however, I want to select same themed dishes first because… just because hahah!
It’s been like 3 weeks since the Mastery Bar has been launched. Has anyone managed to level 3 a particular Theme? What happens?
On the Zynga banner, they’re promoting the Coffee Pot and saying “your* (*Zynga miss spelled: You’re) cafe will never be the same again”

Hi – I’m a little confused. I’m at level 83 but when I open the COOKBOOK it has me at ADVANCED LEVEL 75. I don’t understand this. Anyone have this same problem?

I’m on level 138 and can’t cook the new dishes. When I click on the Advanced Level 75 tab, I can see the dishes but there is no option to “cook” or even scroll. can anyone help?
There is no scroll as there are only 4 advanced items so far and as to the cook you have to click cook on the cooker then open advanced to choose the item looking in the cook book won’t allow you to choose them hope that helps lol
today the start of the advanced cook book shelf has opened it shows you the books and how many you have mastered so far but doesn’t open more yet!
