Café World > Buzz Rating
Your Buzz Rating determines how many customers walk into your cafe. The happier your customers are, the more your buzz rating will increase. Sad customers make your Buzz go down.
To make you customers happy you need to make sure there’s always cooked dishes available on the counters. There should also be enough waiters for your customers not to wait too long. The variety of dishes on the counters might also affect your customers’ happiness.
If the Buzz Rating is 5.0, that is a low number which means that very few customers go inside your cafe. But as soon as you put cooked dishes on the counters, the Buzz increases slowly. The higher it gets, the busier your café becomes, and the faster your dish servings are consumed.
How much exactly the Buzz Rating can increase to. The most I have seen it up to was around 105.0. A few people who commented on this post have said the same, so it’s very possible that it’s 105.0?
Tip: to keep your restaurant’s Buzz Rating from dropping when you’re not playing, close your shop by removing the doors. To remove the doors, click on the chair-shaped ‘Customize’ icon in the game’s menu. Then click and drag your door(s) off the screen, and they’ll disappear. When you’re ready to reopen, click the ‘Customize’ icon, and place the door(s) again.

My buzz rating is currently at 105.0 so it can get pretty high.
My buzz rating is constantly at 105.0 and does not drop. At the current expansion that Cafe World is at, 105.0 IS the max buzz rating. This can be achieve with as little as 7 tables (maybe less) and i currently have about 18 tables or more and keep a full cafe with a 105.0 buzz rating. It can not go higher right now, trust me. Later? that’s up to the developers.

Is it possible to have too MUCH food? I have over 10K servings of everything – pot pie, salad, peppers, cheescake, wings, tostados, etc…roughly 125,000 servings waiting. My buzz rate has gone down to 5.0. ???
Could my food get old without getting the dreaded flies?

Try re-arranging your furniture. I had the same issue and once I re-arranged the furnishings I shot up to 40’s

Mine is also at 105.0 – no one’s unhappy, and no one’s having to wait to be seated, and while the “thumbs up symbol” keeps appearing over people’s heads when they leave, it’s not rising any higher. I would assume that’s the highest the buzz rating can go, because it’s not changing at all, and that’s the original (and lowest possible) buzz rating of 5 plus 100.
i have lots of food and 3 waiters but my buzz rating is still 5.0
what am i doing wrong? i observed that even if i have 3 waiters, there are times that the other waiters do nothing but stand on the side, i’ve fired and hired new ones but it’s still the same… help please… thanks
Just an additional comment…. If being on a lot is not an option for you, try this:
You’re heading to bed and you know you’re going to get about 8 or more hours of sleep – put on something you can take a few minutes in the AM to take off the stove.
Heading out to work in the morning/evening…. again, plan accordingly. work 8 hours… 8 hour dish… 12 hours… so on and so on.
one more note…. Buzz rating doesn’t go up or down if you’re not viewing your cafe.

Is there always food on your counters? If there are not food, clients come in and are dissapointed because they can’t eat, and the buzz rating goes down.
It’s hard to always keep food on the counters. You have to be playing very often!
LOL make sure that your serving counters are accesible to your waiters. there is a “front” part of the counter that needs to havea path to the waiter, i.e. if the front part is up against a wall or oven they cannot serve from there. Also ig people are soming in an the clock is above their heads but seats are still open there area few tricks to try. While people can move through empty chairs once somsone sits in them they cannot, so if you have chairs essentialy back to back or up against another object once somebody sits at the first chair all the other chairs in the row are unoccupiable. Also waiters cannot serve through chairs so if your tables front, the not chair side, is up against the wall they cannotserve to it, they need a side or atleast a corner, ao at the very least you need to have every other table have space in front of it. if yo check out my cafe, search evan earl gregory you will see what i am saying.

Something happened with the game last night. I went to bed with over 4000 food items (this usually lasts til noon the next day) and a buzz rating of 85. this morning all the food was gone and my buzz rating is 5.0 1 customer comes in and it goes up to 5.1, then a second person raises it to 5.2, then for no reason it drops back to 5.0. i have plenty of seats and waiters and 3 different kinds of food on the counter. any suggestions?

Maybe during the night your buzz rating went up from 85.0 to 105.0, therefore making your Café more popular and the 4000 food items were gone quickly.
But I don’t know why today your buzz rating is going up to 5.1 then 5.2, and then dropping to 5.0 again. I must say, my buzz rating has been acting weird too.
If there are any seat that are unaccessible, when you go to the cafe… there may be someone seated… but if unserved, they will leave and rating drops. That’s just an idea. Hard to give an answer without looking at your cafe.
i found another site where people were complaining about the same thing. someone said they found more than one instance of the game running in their browser. I followed their suggestion and shut everything down and restarted my system. it worked, my buzz started going up immediately

If your tables are too close together your buzz rating will be lower. Spread out you tables so that customers may move freely.
This is partially true…
True in the sense that the customers need to be able to get to the chairs. Customers can not move through the chairs to get to another chair. Make sure that there is at least one point of entry.
False in the sense that my buzz rating is a constant 105.0 and all of my tables touch.

Its the tables, my rating was down to 5s and 6s and i alwasy had my counters full. I rearanged the tables and my buzz rating shot up to 100 within an hour or so. I re-arranged them into pairs of two facing each other. It workerd really well. Good Luck!

Worriedxxx, the maximum that the buzz rating can get to is 105.0. If you got there, that is great!
If your buzz rating isn’t rising try making your restaurant less crowded by removing some chairs…I also found that I had to keep the page open continuously for it to go up… I started this morning at 5 and I am at 105 now b/c I kept my page open all day… those are my suggestions.
the max buzz rating definitely is 105, i got that and it didn’t go up anymore and i was still getting thumb’s up. also, people called zynga kept coming in!
Have the settings been altered? I removed the doors from my cafe tonight, but the customers can still get in through the walls for some reason.
Sarah, this is a glitch, it also occurred in my cafe when i first removed my doors. I replaced the door then removed it again, it should go away… If not, then put some decorations in front of it. For example, a plant or bin etc.

I think something is wrong with my Buzz rating. I had about 5 people eating all at once, they all left with thumbs up and it still didn’t raise. Or if it does go up it only gets to 5.2 or 5.3 and then drops again even though everyone who comes in gives a thumbs up.
Yeah, my rating was just 5.3, the only person in the cafe left with a thumbs up and it dropped to 5.1, something must be wrong.
Melissa, maybe there’s a bug, and that can be frustrating. There is a Cafe World page on facebook that you can consult and tell about your problem.
thank you for the one who suggested in removing few tables and chairs so that the buzz rating can go higher… i got 5 waiters and is in level 29, i just re-modeled my cafe for 2 hrs, after i finished, my buzz rating went down to hell like from 101.5 to 5.0. lol. thanks again.
I rearranged my cafe yesterday as was only getting about 22 buzz – now up to 105

Tip. (in my experience – i am at level 40)
DO NOT have more than one doors. If you do… put a plant in front of one of the doors… This enables customers going out but unable to come in through the blocked door. It means that you will be able to leave the food on the counters whilst you are away and your staff will cope – ie no unhappy customers.
Tip.
if you have a lot of cash. Cook BEEF POT ROAST and when it ready on the stove DELETE it – it will give you 60 points twards advancing to the next level… I have 13 stoves so i get 13×60=780 points (it costs me 13×1800=23400 cash for that) per round so withn 3-4 times of doing that (say 30 mins) i am at the next level
TIP.
If you have expanded your cafe (I have 15×13)
then move your kitchen in the centre and have it in 2 parts (ie half to the left and half to the right with a gap in the middle) and have just one door. Have the stoves facing outdoors and the counters indoors. This way your staff walk less to get to the counters and can reach the customers from the centre of the cafe to either side of the sitting part. Dont have too mane objects on the floor as walking access is very vital.

I had my buzz on like 48, I was serving triple berry cheesecake, pumpkin pie and bacon cheesburger, and then I rearranged my seating so that more people could sit down (and there is a clear path through all the chairs and tables, but all of a sudden my buzz rating just dropped to… well it’s 20 atm. shall I go back to my old seating arrangements or what?
I’m on level 9 btw.
@ Lizzi, yes maybe your old table/chair configuration was more effective. You can also try something else.
I find this configuration very effective for high buzz rating, I will try to describe it. You have your counters in the middle of your Cafe, maybe two or four of them depending on which level you are, and you have your tables all around so that the waiters don’t have to walk very much, having short accesses to tables. Make sure you have a place that your head chef can go through to put the cooked dishes on the counters.
Yep, my buzz rating will not go over 105. Seems 105 is the max.
Hi there, I am on level 34 with a buzz rating of around 30, My mate does it too, and he keeps leaving me sitting basically ! Lol Please help me give me advice u always have loads of food to be served, adn serve all customers, always somethign cooking too. HE just keeps beating me, i am online more too !
@ Vicky, it’s all about how you arrange your tables and chairs, making sure that they are all accessible to clients and not far from the counters.
The highest the buzz rating will go is 105 (mine is there now) and even though people are giving a thumbs up it will not go up past 105, however, it goes down a little slower I think especially when you visit your neighbours cafes or help them.
At what level can you upgrade t a corner cafe? And what was the price? Thanks.

Also is there a toggle full screen option (like in Farmville)? I cannot see my second row of options in the customize area…I can’t see my buzz rating or anything in the top right portion of the screen…Thanks

@ Marsha, sounds a bit strange… maybe try again tomorrow and if it still doesn’t work you can contact Cafe World’s Support.

there’s a new feature that Zynga has put on Cafe world, it’s the “SAVE GAME” button. it syncs the servers up.
as for me, when I see my Buzz Rating dropping even a hair, I press the button, confirm the ‘Save Complete’, then continue gaming. slowly, the Buzz will recover… NOTE: it’s not a drastic recovery. be patient.
if it still persists, fire/rehire waiters is my next option.
then, if it STILL persists, I then rearrange my cafe, but i don’t think its necessary if most tables, counters and stoves are positioned right.
these option has been already posted earlier, somewhere in this blog. please, take time to read the blog.

I have the same problem, how do you guys fix that, I´ve done everything that I can but still , can´t see.
this is just your computer’s “zoom” thing. to “unzoom” press ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel thing
You do not need to remove the doors to keep your buzz rating up.. This is a little secret but I guess I’ll just share with who ever cares this secret.
When you have no food on the counter the buzz rating goes down. However if you run out of food when you are not playing the rating stays up. Make sure you keep some spare food “like from gifts” this way right when you go to your cafe you can place it on the counter. Thus your rating will never drop. “it can only drop when you are playing”

That is actually a glitch, and it doesn’t work that way for everyone. My buzz rating will drop even when not viewing my cafe, but it will only rise when I am watching. This is a different glitch than before, when it wouldn’t lower unless I was watching, but would rise no matter what.

guests eat 13 serves a minute
800 servings an hour
19200 servings a day
I think the number of guests that enter your cafe also depends on your waiters and counters. I noticed that when I hired a new waiter, I had people waiting at the doors, unable to sit down when I didn’t have that before. I serve more than 13 customers per minute as well.
just wanted to mention, has anyone tried the SAVE icon on Cafe World? Well, it appears to me when I start seeing my Buzz rating drop by a couple points, hit that icon, it starts climb up once again. just an observation….

the save button is on the bottom right of your Cafe screen. It is right above the zoom in and zoom out buttons. I hope this helps.
i have a 105 buzz rating since i put the bombay door on my cafe..i put 13 bombay doors…so my cafe are very open for evryone…
i always have a 105 buzz raring… because my door are always open…lol

I had a full counter of food last night, but this AM when I checked in all the food was gone and I had only made 219 coins? 7 counters full of over 1000 servings of each. Often food disappears from the stoves too, anyone else having this happen?
All my food disappeared last night. This is the first time I have had that problem. I had 10,000+ servings of a couple of things and most of my counters were full
I’ve never had such a drop in buzz rating. The main difference is having made a bunch of the VIP dinners today. I have had food and fast service. I have not changed the decor. I don’t know why there’s a sudden drop. I was usually at about 60 and now I’m stuck at 15
I’ve been having issues the past few days with the buzz rating. I guess it was the table layout, but I’m really not sure. Here’s what I’ve got now that’s working:

Now with that layout, when a number of people stand up with thumbs up above their head, my buzz rating drops 1-3 points.
i always have 105 rating. This simple explanation may help some of you. If there is no food on counter, take the doors away until food is served. If customers wait for no food, buzz falls. if you take doors away,no sad customers and buzz stays high. If all sides of a table are touching something, then it wont get served. one side of the table needs to be touching empty floor tile to be served. someone can sit there and waiters will do nothing, customer wont get served and buzz falls. you have to have a path of floor tiles to walk to every seat. a customer wont sit in a seat if they cant get to it or it is full. they stand with clock over head and buzz falls. another reason waiters dont serve is the food counter has to have the front touching empty floor tile so waiter can get plates out(front is with plates underneath) i did experiment and turned all my counters around and no service.

i have the same problem, can’t see the buzz rating or neighbors to the right. i have a small notebook but it wasn’t a problem til like a few days ago.
My buzz rating hasnt changed at all since i first got cafeworld its still at 5.0 and won’t move i’m on lv.26 and i cant see any of my waiters and i cant see my people eat my food niether i always have to leave and come bacl help..
I tried to re-install it but tht didnt work either

Did you try changing the position of your tables and chairs to make sure they are all accessible to your clients and your waiters?

from 105…after rearanging my stove last last week..my foods has gone..and my buzz rating drop to 5.0 and im so mad about it..ggggrrrrr
and my older sister copied the design on my cafe..so that she can have the buzz rating of 105…
and until now,,my buzz rating is 5.0….im so sad…
